Since these appliances allow food to simmer throughout the day using low temperatures, you have to expect that your food will take about eight hours or more to cook. If you’re a person who doesn’t prefer hanging around your kitchen that much, this is a great cooker. Thanks to its slow cooking time, you can turn it on and leave it for hours without the need to check up on it every now and then. Another great thing attached to a slow cooker is when you cook meat, you can check its tenderness whenever you want unlike when you cook in a pressure cooker. On the odd occasion, pressure cookers produce soggier foodsthan those that were cooked in the slow cooker. This is because pressure cookers use steam and water to blend all your ingredients.
Your choice actually depends on what kind of person you are. At the end of the day, if you don’t want much involvement in your kitchen or you’re not in a hurry to eat, having a slow cooker is a wise choice. If you do and you value speed in cooking, you would probably prefer a pressure cooker.
